    Intro Summary

rePurpose Global is the world’s leading Plastic Action Platform, trusted by hundreds of consumer brands to recover plastic waste and deliver verified sustainability impact. In 2025, the company set its sights on a new frontier: transforming from an impact-driven organization into the go-to packaging data platform for brands navigating the fast-changing landscape of sustainability and compliance.

With new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) laws rolling out across the U.S. and a growing demand for credible sustainability claims, rePurpose Global partnered with 8020 to evolve its website into a unified, scalable platform. The goal was to communicate expertise, drive demos, and position rePurpose as the trusted partner for packaging compliance and growth.

    Launch date: September 2025

The Challenge: From Nonprofit Perception to Data-Driven Platform

rePurpose’s legacy brand identity (colorful, playful, impact-first) had helped build awareness among sustainability-focused audiences, but it no longer matched the sophistication or ambition of their SaaS platform.

    The challenge was twofold:

    • Shift perception: from nonprofit storytelling to business intelligence and value creation.

    • Unify two distinct product lines: Verified Plastic Recovery (VPR) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) into a cohesive digital ecosystem.

Beyond messaging, the website also needed to support lead generation and data scalability for hundreds of brand partners, with clear user journeys for both marketing and compliance professionals.

    Discovery and Strategy

We began by partnering closely with rePurpose’s leadership team to define a clear content and brand strategy anchored in their business goals:

    1. Increase demo requests per month
    2. Reduce homepage bounce rate
    3. Position rePurpose as a business-value packaging data platform
    4. Unify product messaging across offerings
    5. Strengthen engagement across key decision-maker journeys

To meet these objectives, 8020 developed a comprehensive content architecture that connected rePurpose’s sustainability mission with its technology story. The new framework blended content strategy, data storytelling, and SEO hierarchy to make the platform’s value clear from the first interaction.

    Designing a Unified Brand System

The design process centered on sophistication, clarity, and scalability. We rebuilt rePurpose’s visual identity through a new brand system that included a refined color palette, typographic system, and custom iconography. The goal was to evolve the brand from bright and playful to professional and credible while keeping a sense of warmth and accessibility.

A major creative milestone came with the product illustrations. Representing everything rePurpose does in a single visual language was a challenge, but the final set of illustrations successfully translated complex data workflows and compliance systems into clean, human visuals that brought rePurpose’s technology to life.

    Key design outcomes:

    • A scalable UI system built for product storytelling and clarity
    • Refined brand visuals balancing approachability and authority
    • Product illustrations that made technical concepts intuitive and beautiful

    Migration and Development

Once the brand system was approved, 8020 led a full Webflow-to-Webflow CMS migration. The new infrastructure was built to support scale, content flexibility, and performance.

    Key technical achievements included:

    • Dedicated CMS collections for blogs, news, case studies, guides, and webinars
    • Optimized site structure for SEO
    • Advanced custom code for animations
    • HubSpot integration for seamless form and calendar submissions
    • Streamlined publishing workflows and Webflow training for rePurpose’s internal team

This approach gave the rePurpose team full ownership of their content pipeline. They can now publish new stories, resources, and campaign pages in minutes without technical bottlenecks, turning the site into a living, scalable platform for ongoing growth.

    Bringing Clarity to Complex Products

The new site was designed to clearly communicate rePurpose’s two core products:

    • Plastic Recovery Claims helps marketing and sustainability teams generate credible, verified impact claims that stand out on the shelf.
    • Packaging Compliance supports compliance teams by automating packaging data reporting across 45+ state regulations.

Each product was treated as its own narrative within the broader ecosystem, with tailored UX, content structure, and conversion paths aligned to each visitor’s intent.

The Power of Content: A Strategy for Growth

8020 developed a content-first strategy that elevated discoverability and engagement. Every page was crafted with intent, from SEO-optimized metadata to clear messaging hierarchies and contextual CTAs.

We built CMS templates for impact projects, regulatory updates, case studies, and thought leadership, giving rePurpose a system for continuous publishing. This approach turned the website into a living content engine that could educate, convert, and scale with the company’s growth.

    Results

Within the first month after launch, the new website delivered strong improvements across visibility, engagement, and conversions:

    +21% increase in new users
    +93% increase in form submissions
+333% increase in “Get Started” CTA clicks
+156% increase in Contact page views
+46% increase in Plastic Recovery Claims page views
+36% increase in Packaging Compliance page views

The results validated the core objectives: higher conversions, better navigation flow, clearer messaging, and higher-quality engagement throughout the site experience.

    A Platform Built for Scale

Beyond short-term performance gains, the new website established a foundation for long-term scalability. The modular CMS architecture, unified content system, and refreshed brand identity position rePurpose Global for continued growth as the definitive packaging data platform.
