Objectives

Aimpoint Digital is a data and analytics advisory firm with a global presence across the US and UK, known for helping companies — from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 enterprises — become truly analytics-driven organizations. As their client roster and service offering grew, their website needed to catch up: it had to reflect the caliber of the brand, organize a growing library of services and resources, and give the marketing team room to keep publishing without engineering help.

Aimpoint Digital partnered with 8020 on a full website redesign and rebuild in Webflow — one that paired a distinctive visual identity with the underlying structure to support it. The result was a fully responsive site with custom interactions, a clean CMS-driven content model, and a migration path that preserved everything the old WordPress site had built.

Aimpoint Digital's existing site was built on WordPress, and it was starting to show its limits. Content was scattered across an ad hoc structure, the visual design no longer matched the sophistication of the firm's positioning in the data and analytics space, and there was no clear system for the marketing team to manage new pages or resources on their own.

8020 was brought in to solve several things at once:

  • Migrate years of existing content into a new, more sustainable structure
  • Design a custom visual identity across every major page type
  • Rebuild the entire site in Webflow with full responsiveness
  • Introduce subtle, on-brand interactions without slowing the site down
  • Preserve SEO and content integrity through the migration
  • Equip the internal team to manage and extend the site themselves

Because design, development, and migration all had to move together, the project called for a tightly sequenced process rather than a series of disconnected handoffs.

Process

Discovery & Content Migration Strategy

The project began with a strategic content audit, using visual site-mapping tools like Screaming Frog to understand exactly what existed on the current site and how it was structured. From there, 8020 ran content workshops directly with the Aimpoint Digital team to refine the sitemap, define CMS migration requirements, and establish a future-proof content structure — one that would maintain data integrity while giving the team more flexibility going forward.

This groundwork shaped everything that followed: it determined which content became static pages, which became CMS collections, and how the new information architecture would hold together once live.

Custom UI Design Across the Site

With the structure defined, 8020's design team built custom UI across the full scope of the site: 6 index pages, 6 CMS collections, and 15 static pages, each designed to support Aimpoint Digital's brand story while staying flexible enough to scale.

The design process ran through two rounds of revisions to make sure the final direction matched the client's vision. One page in particular pushed the brief further than the rest: Aimpoint Labs. It needed a distinct look and feel — moodier, more experimental — while still feeling like part of the same site. The team leaned into a dark background and custom graphics to give the page its own identity without breaking from the overall design system.

Build

Bringing It to Life in Webflow

Once designs were finalized, 8020's development team built a fully responsive, SEO-optimized site in Webflow — including the full migration of CMS content from the old WordPress site, followed by a round of client revisions to fine-tune the build.

Two pages stood out for their complexity:

  • The Partner Page, a CMS-powered page with multiple custom elements, was one of the more technically demanding builds on the site. The payoff was a page Aimpoint Digital can now manage and update entirely through Webflow's CMS, without touching the Designer.
  • The Case Studies Template, while simpler in scope, gives the marketing team the same benefit: the ability to publish polished, on-brand case studies without needing design or development support.

In total, the build spanned more than 35 individual pages across static and CMS-powered templates.

Interactions That Add Polish Without Noise

To bring the design to life, 8020 layered in a set of standard interactions across the site — fade-ins, background color transitions, and hover effects — all tuned to support the storytelling on each page rather than compete with it. The goal was subtlety: animation that makes the site feel dynamic and current without ever feeling gimmicky.

Equipping the Team: Webflow Training

Because Aimpoint Digital's team would be the ones maintaining the site day to day, 8020 built a custom video training library — up to three videos covering how to build new pages, modify existing content, and make basic changes directly in Webflow. This gave the internal team a real foundation for managing the site independently after launch.

Quality Assurance

Before launch, the site went through a rigorous QA process to confirm it was bug-free, consistent across major browsers, and fully responsive across every breakpoint — the kind of unglamorous, necessary work that makes everything above actually hold up in production.

The Outcome

The response from Aimpoint Digital's leadership was immediate. Upon seeing the first design deliverables, the CEO's reaction summed it up in one word: “DRRRRIIIIIP.” The Aimpoint Labs page, with its dark background and distinct graphics, became a particular highlight — proof that a page could stand apart visually while still feeling native to the rest of the site.

The interactions landed just as well. Reviewers described the animations as smooth and tasteful — adding energy to the site without ever overwhelming the design.

On the development side, the team shipped:

  • A fully responsive, SEO-optimized Webflow site
  • A complete content migration from WordPress with no data loss
  • Two standout builds — the Partner Page and Case Studies Template — that hand real content control back to the marketing team
  • A trained internal team ready to manage and extend the site on their own

The partnership didn't end at launch. Aimpoint Digital extended the engagement with a 3-month retainer and brought 8020 on to redesign their PowerPoint templates to match the new site. That retainer has since grown into a long-term engagement that is still active in 2026.

Leadership feedback made the impact clear: the CEO noted being comfortable stepping back and letting 8020's team “work their magic,” while Aimpoint Digital's Head of Marketing pointed to a new deal won from an inbound lead generated directly through the new site — closed in a notably shorter sales cycle than usual. Since launch, Aimpoint Digital has also seen a steady increase in lead quality.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Aimpoint Digital and 8020 delivered more than a new coat of paint — it gave a growing analytics advisory firm a website built to match its ambitions. Visually distinctive, technically solid, and easy for the internal team to manage, the new site has already paid for itself: in stronger inbound leads, faster sales cycles, and a partnership that's continued well past launch.
