Overview
FourKites is an AI-driven supply chain transformation platform, giving the world's largest brands a real-time, data-backed way to see, understand, and act on what's happening across their global operations.

FourKites has done this before. A decade ago, it helped pioneer real-time supply chain visibility as a category. In 2026, the company set out to lead its industry through a second transformation: evolving from a visibility platform into a full AI execution system, where autonomous digital agents resolve exceptions, coordinate with carriers, and manage operations that used to require entire teams of people. That shift called for a full brand repositioning, not just new pages, but a digital presence built to match the scale of that ambition, for enterprise buyers, for existing customers, and for a new generation of AI systems that would soon be reading it too.
8020 partnered with FourKites on that repositioning: a complete rebuild of its digital presence from the ground up, including a full migration from WordPress to Webflow, a new domain (fourkites.com to fourkites.ai), a reimagined information architecture built around outcomes and autonomous agents rather than product features, and early AI-discovery infrastructure — schema markup and a footer experience that hands curious visitors straight into an AI-assisted conversation about the platform.
"Working with 8020 on our website has been an exceptional experience. They helped us with a complete overhaul including new site architecture, refreshed messaging, a full redesign, and a domain migration. All of this was done with a very ambitious and demanding timeline.
The team was a pleasure to work with, and their expertise and communication made a complex project feel manageable at every stage. If you're looking for a Webflow agency that can handle serious scope without sacrificing quality or timeline, I recommend 8020 without hesitation."
Theresa Medina, Manager, Website Marketing, FourKites.
The Challenge
This wasn't a redesign. It was an infrastructure and narrative overhaul happening at the same time, on a tight timeline, for a company actively repositioning itself in the market.
The project needed to accomplish several things simultaneously:
- Migrate a large, deeply established WordPress site to Webflow without losing years of SEO equity
- Move the primary domain from fourkites.com to fourkites.ai in the same window
- Reimagine the information architecture around a new mental model — platform layers, autonomous agents, and outcomes — rather than legacy product categories
- Translate a company-wide brand and narrative shift into a cohesive design system
- Build and populate an enterprise-scale CMS architecture spanning dozens of collections
- Do all of this on a compressed timeline, at a scale that was understood to be ambitious from day one
This was never going to be a simple lift-and-shift. From the outset, both teams understood the new site would need to match the scale of FourKites' existing WordPress presence, while re-architecting nearly everything about how that content was organized around outcomes and autonomous agents rather than legacy product categories. By launch, that ambition had fully materialized: 227 total pages and nearly 3,500 CMS items across the site's collection architecture.
Discovery and Content Strategy
Before any design work began, 8020 ran a structured discovery process to understand where FourKites' brand needed to go. That process included stakeholder interviews across FourKites' executive, marketing, and engineering leadership, a full audit of the existing site's traffic and content performance, and market research to ground the new positioning in something defensible.
A few insights shaped everything that followed. Site analytics pointed to real opportunities to improve how quickly visitors, and increasingly, AI agents doing research on their behalf, could find the specific answer they came for. That became a core design principle: the new site needed to be built around specific, findable answers rather than general brand messaging.
8020 synthesized this research into a formal strategy presentation covering the current state, the site's core objectives, and a set of foundational strategic statements, including the central narrative that would anchor the entire architecture: a decade spent building the world's largest real-time supply chain data network, followed by an intelligence layer to understand it, followed by an execution layer to act on it. That sequence — network, intelligence, execution — became the throughline for the platform architecture pages, the homepage narrative, and eventually the product taxonomy itself.

Information Architecture and Navigation
FourKites' new site needed to represent something genuinely new: a four-layer platform (Network Graph, Digital Twins, Loft, and FourSight AI), a roster of named autonomous AI agents, and a five-domain outcome taxonomy replacing the legacy inbound/outbound product categories.
8020 built and iterated an entirely new navigation and sitemap over dozens of rounds of feedback, working through a fully interactive prototype before a single line of production code was written. The final structure organizes the site around five primary destinations: Platform, Digital Workers, Outcomes, Resources, and Company, each fully clickable in its own right, with deep multi-level mega-menus beneath.
A few architectural decisions stood out:
- The Digital Workers section treats each named AI agent (Tracy, Sam, Alan, Cassie, Polly, and Sophie) as a first-class entity with its own dedicated page, capability list, and customer proof point, rather than burying agent capabilities inside generic product pages.
- The Outcomes structure supports browsing by outcome domain or by industry, giving different buyer personas a way into the same underlying content.
- For Carriers was elevated from a buried footer link into its own dedicated section within the Resources mega-menu, reflecting how central carrier relationships are to the platform.
- The footer includes a dedicated "Ask AI about FourKites" experience, opening external AI tools with a pre-loaded prompt about FourKites already in place.

Design and Illustration
FourKites' brand needed to shift alongside the product story: from a lighter, photography-driven visual identity toward something more sophisticated and technically credible, without losing warmth or approachability.
That shift showed up everywhere: darker, more confident backgrounds in place of bright aerial photography, tighter and more technical typography, and a restrained color palette built to feel precise rather than promotional. The team also built a full Webflow Design System with reusable variables and components, giving FourKites' own marketing team a structured foundation to build on long after handoff, rather than a one-off set of static designs.
The illustration system was built in six sequential phases, timed to match each batch of page templates going into development. Rather than rushing into production, the design team paused early to lock a consistent visual language before scaling it across dozens of pages — a deliberate quality-over-speed decision that paid off in a highly cohesive final system.
Three distinct illustration types worked together across the site:
- Conceptual diagrams, translating abstract ideas — like the compounding intelligence of the Network Graph, or the “see, reason, act” decision loop — into clean, custom line-art and dimensional graphics.
- Product illustrations, most notably a consistent visual system for the platform's five Digital Twins (Order, Shipment, Inventory, Facility, and Asset), each rendered as a 3D object with a wireframe scan overlay against its own distinct color palette.
- Composited photography, blending real photography with holographic, wireframe treatments to visualize AI agents working alongside people — avoiding both generic stock-photo tropes and generic robot iconography.

Migration and Development
Once design was underway, 8020's development team led a full WordPress-to-Webflow migration, timed to launch alongside a switch of the primary domain from fourkites.com to fourkites.ai.
By launch, the rebuilt site included:
- 227 total pages
- 3,494 CMS collection items across an enterprise-scale collection architecture
- 1,406 redirects, combining legacy WordPress redirects with new mappings generated by the full information architecture restructure
Integrations
A site of this scale touches a wide web of marketing, analytics, and operational tooling, and part of 8020's job was making sure none of it broke silently during the transition.
The team ran a full technical audit of the legacy site's third-party footprint, including tag managers, ad pixels, chat tools, A/B testing, and marketing automation before consolidating everything into a clean, centralized setup:
- A full technical audit of legacy third-party scripts surfaced many tools running on the old site, so the 8020 team flagged each one for FourKites to confirm before anything went live, rather than letting them silently drop or carry over unnoticed
- Marketing and analytics tooling was consolidated into a single, centralized setup, replacing a patchwork of scripts that had been hard-coded across templates.
- Native Webflow forms replaced the site's legacy form provider entirely, with spam protection built in.
The most distinctive integration was a real-time API connection between FourKites' own backend and the homepage itself: a live counter showing the platform's autonomous agents at work — agent actions executed, hours returned to human teams, and the dollar value of that labor — updating continuously rather than as a static, dated statistic.

Quality Assurance and Launch
With a project this large, QA ran continuously rather than as a single final pass. The team combined structured internal QA (page-by-page tracking through a shared project tracker) with external client feedback collected in parallel, and ran dedicated content audits on high-risk areas like carousel content and legal page parity — catching subtle issues (missing CTAs, formatting loss, stripped content) that surface-level review tends to miss.
Pre-launch, the team ran a full 404 crawl, validated every redirect, and confirmed every third-party integration was correctly wired before a single coordinated go-live: DNS cutover, domain switch, and Webflow publish, executed together with FourKites' team on the call.
The handoff didn't end at launch. 8020 recorded a full set of training videos covering Webflow fundamentals, CMS management, and how to update every content type on the site, giving FourKites' marketing team full ownership of their new platform going forward.
The Outcome
FourKites launched its new site at fourkites.ai after roughly sixteen weeks of work, spanning strategy, content, design, illustration, development, and QA. A fast timeline given the scale of what shipped.
Today, the platform is:
- 500K+ carriers connected, across 234 countries, serving 1,600+ global brands
- 152 outcomes organized across 5 solution domains
- 6 named AI agents, live in production at Fortune 500 companies
- 10 distinct industry pages, each with its own tailored content
The homepage's live counter, connected directly to FourKites' own backend, tells an ongoing story of its own: agent actions executed, operator hours returned to customer teams, workflow executions completed, and labor value delivered, all updating in real time and growing every day.
